DHS PTO MEETINGS
Changes are coming......
After speaking with parents, students, teachers, and administrators and analyzing the meeting attendance data we decided to make some changes to the PTO. We began the 2013 - 2014 school year trying something new. We understand the busy lives families lead and we understand that attending meetings is sometimes difficult to do. We switched gears and focused more on involvement instead of meetings. We will still have meetings if we have something important to share and numerous announcements will be made to make sure our DHS families know about them. We will continue this approach for the '14 - '15 school year. A good way to stay informed is to join our mailing list on this site under the PTO Info - Mailing List link or by joining DHS Tigernews on Facebook.
We want to become more of a group of Tiger Supporters where all families can contribute rather than the traditional monthly meeting PTO group. We welcome all DHS families and we want you to be involved in your students education. We will participate in many activities, events and fundraisers throughout the year. We will send out an email, post on this site, Facebook, the school web site and utilize the school call cast and Remind 101 to keep you informed of what's happening at DHS. Please join us every chance you get. Your participation matters, when you volunteer you help us have a better Dothan High! There are many ways to participate, you can grab something from the store to send in when we show appreciation, of course those home baked goodies are also greatly appreciated. You can also volunteer your time at one of our many activities and events, we will have something that everyone can do. Whether you have 15 minutes or 8 hours a day to give, we want you to be a part of the Dothan High Family.
We are looking forward to a spectacular year at DHS and we hope you will join us and become a familiar face at Dothan High School. We'll see you in August!
